During 2008 the foyer has played a vital part in church life . A place to have prayer, a place to meet friends and somewhere to come to when you need some company. As a church we endeavour to have a listening ear, and share the ups and downs in our individual lives. Six days a week every morning there is someone to serve good Fair Trade coffee and be alongside anyone who needs help and friendship.

The foyer has also been the focus for important events in church life where everyone can meet when weddings, funerals, concerts and other events take place in the building. Throughout the year, especially the holiday season, we have been pleased to show visitors around the building and to have shared experiences.

It is good that between church services on a Sunday we can all mingle together and catch up with friends from both services. The foyer lends itself to noticing new faces during this time and introducing yourself to them so that they can feel a part of our fellowship.

We have been blessed with teams of reliable members to man the foyer each day.

Monday: Jo’s Prayer team
Tuesday: Ron’s Table Top team
Wednesday/Thursday: Maggie / Penny’s team
Friday: Joan’s Families Matter team
Saturday: Those who work during the week and others who don’t mind a Saturday morning.

To all those who have given their time to support the Foyer Ministry and made all those cups of coffee thank you.

In 2009 the Foyer Ministry will be overseen by the Evangelism Ministry Team. A working group will run and develop this aspect of church life and move it forward with new ideas and initiatives.
