Membership
Membership is an opportunity to publicly declare your faith. To declare this church to be “your Church”, and to commit yourself to share in the church's work and in the decision making related to it.
The essential conditions for membership are baptism and confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in accordance with the affirmation of faith laid down by the United Reformed Church.
Anyone wishing to become a church member is asked to make their decision known to the minister or to one of the elders.

Promises made on being received into Membership
Do you believe and trust in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, maker of heaven and earth, redeemer of the world, giver of life?
Do you, trusting in God's grace, repent of your sins, renounce evil and turn to Christ?
Do you promise, trusting in God's grace, to be faithful in public and private worship, to live in the fellowship of the church and to share in its witness?
Do you promise, by that same grace, to follow Christ and to seek to do and to bear his will all the days of your life?
And do you trust in his mercy alone to bring you into the fullness of the life of the world to come?

Members from other Christian churches may be admitted to fellowship by letter of transfer, certificate of membership, or some other credentials from their previous church.
Names of proposed new members will be brought to Church Meeting from the Elders Meeting for approval, following which they will be asked to affirm or re-affirm their faith at a service of worship.
All new members will be specially invited to the Church Meeting immediately following their reception. This will be regarded as an opportunity to give them a friendly and informal welcome.
